Art to me is a way to communicate and inspire. My works try to explore beauty from within, accentuating the inner nature of the subject matter as if captured from the inside out. Each piece is an opportunity to present from a new angle the overlooked or rediscover what is unseen. My brush strokes go through various degrees of experimentation and processes. Layering colors, textures as well as shapes that are commonly found around us in our day-to-day activities is a constant reminder of nature's structure: complex and captivating. Ultimately many of the motifs adapt to a moment of emotional emphasis. The interweaving of patterns as if in a fabric is a theme in my work. The moods and the many images created communicate my passion for what I do and enthusiasm for life. |
